Many people are very familiar have used one form of social media or another (Myspace, Facebook, etc…)  However, some people take their love of social media WAY TOO FAR.  Some people put up their EVERY detail online.  Lately, Burglars have used that against them by breaking into their houses because they announced they would be out of town or away from the house online on their page.  Is there some information that shouldn’t be shared?  Where is the line that shouldn’t be crossed with social media? (Must be at least  COMPLETE sentences or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

For more info on this topic, read:

Yes there is information that shouldn’t be shared because what is your personal business is your personal business. If you tell someone your going out of town, someone could be waiting for you everyday until you come home and probably try and kill you. The line that shouldn’t be crossed is like having a serious relationship with someone you meet online. Being friends is okay. But not a relationship.

Well you shouldnt share where you live beacuse people might come to your house and break in. You should not share when your leaving to go to work or to go out of town. you shouldnt share any personal stuff like your full name and age.

I think that some people share too much information about their life and they don’t know what the consequences might be. sharing too much information could bring you a lot of trouble. I think that Myspace, facebook, and the rest of the websites shouldn’t be in the internet because some people can’t control themselves and cross a line. I don’t think that the websites mentioned above are the safes thing to be in.

Wow really? Who would do that. Personally i think that’s kinda stupid.
I mean on my accounts on Myspace,Facebook and Twitter I have a Fake addresses on their. I never ever! Have or will announce online that im out of town Etc. I can understand that people want their online friends to know that their out of town or stuff like that, but you don’t put your real address online and say that your out of town. Stuff like that should be kept a secret. The line between the social sites and real life is crossed when you put something that you didn’t mean to put online and you do. If its something that can hurt someones feelings or just someone in particular then why did you but it online? When you put something online you can’t deny it and you can’t take it back. Its their. PERMANENTLY.

You shouldn’t post a facebook when you are going out of town. Dont put your address up. dont put your phone number up. If you put when your going out of town someone can break in your house soon as you leave. Dont put your phone number up cause people will give it to someone you dont want to have it.

Yes i think there is information that should not be shared that can be very dangerous that how people end up missing. When people share a lot of things there can be a lot of things that are bad. You should not share where you live, age, or if your leaving out of town that to personal and if you share this stuff then make sure it nor real information about yourself. There is people that share to much information they know better then not to do that what do they want to be hurt, killed, robbed. You should not do those type of things.

i think that any personal info. even your phone # and your vacation plans should not be announced if you want to tell that person or whoever something send them a message instead and don’t post it on your wall or as your status because of intruders and other bad guys 🙂 also i think that we should have better blockage on myspace because i know that facebook has better blockage from a person or anything else. the best part is you get to tell your friends were your going, or what your going to do that day or week but there are predators out there that can rob or hurt specifically you!! 😦

Even though you can only see a profile if your friends but even though there is that someone could hack your friends or something. And I think that if you out out that information its really stupid and you shouldn’t have a computer. If you do that action you are responsible for what happens.
