ORQ Question

During a technology class, Eric was asked to design and make his own paper airplane from a single sheet of paper.  After making his paper airplane, Eric was asked to record how he made it so that another student could make the same type of airplane following the same design.

A.)  Identify two different methods using technology that Eric could use to record HOW he made his paper airplane so that another student could make the same type of airplane.

B.)  Explain how each method you described in part (A) will help another student make the same type of airplane following the same design.

(You MUST give me fully thought out sentences and use the A.C.T. method-no short answers or text message language.)

    A). He could make lines where to fold. Or he could Write how to do it on a piece of paper.

    B).If he drew the lines where to fold they would know where to fold and they could make the same airplane. And if he wrote down what to do they could just read the directions and do what it says.

    A). would probably go to a website to help us. so like it will help us follow directions so it can be easier.

    B). if i used the internet to find out how to make the same paper airplane i would follow the instructions. so there would be no problem over if he or i did it wrong.

    A. Well twp different methods he could have used to record how he had made the airplain is , one he could have made bullets and writen the directions next to them and kept them short and simple. Or he could have drawn the pictures.

    B. How it could have helped them with the methods I have listed. Well some people can read directions and know exactly what they are doing. And the bulliets would help keep it organized and simple. The pictures could help the people who like to look at the pictures and get an idea of how to do it. Plus it helps them better to visually see the airplain and the steps of how you make the airplain.

    A) the question is asking what are two methods he can use to record what he did so another student can make one. It will help another student make the same type because it shows how to do it. I would draw a diagram of the airplane with tips. And i would write down how to do it

    C) The connections with this to me is i used to make a lot and teach other people ho to make them. so i would tell them and show them.

    T) Text helps me answer the question because it describes what we have to do to help.

    A.If I made a paper airplane I will tell you to go to google and type in how to make a paper airplanes and click the one that says Learn How To Make 10 Great Paper Airplanes click that one and then click the one that says the arrow.

    B.Because all you have to do is follow the directions I told you to go to and that will show you the same way I exactly made mines.

    A) The first way Erik could show another student how to make paper airplane he can tell the other student a good website that shows how to make the paper airplane. The second way he can show another student is by drawing pictures showing what steps he took.

    B) I think that the two methods would really help the student because if the student goes to a website there could be a video showing the steps or the instructions written down in the website. Going to the website would help the other student also because if Erik can’t really write it down he can give some kind of example to the student. The second method works because by looking at pictures the student can see if he is doing the right steps. Drawing can also help the student because if the student has some kind of problem reading or is not really good at looking up things then he can look at pictures and do the right steps.

    he could also put up a website of how to make a paper air plane.

    (B). so whoever want’s to see how to make a paper airplane he
    could see how to fold it right and finally he sees it on the website

    A. One different method Eric could show how he made it is to draw a diagram. Another method Eric could use to show how he did it is to show like do it over in front of the class.

    B. The first method i choose was to draw a diagram i said this because I think it really breaks down how you make paper airplanes, I think this will help. The second method i choose is to do it in front of the class I believe this will help a lot of people because most people learn from seeing a visual of whats going on. I know this for a fact, I learn by seeing things, it’s hard to just read something out of a book.

    A). Two different methods that Eric could use to record how he made his paper airplane, so that another student could make his exact same type of airplane is he could type it down on word document, save it, print it, then just give it to him. Or he could write it down on a piece of paper and draw pictures to demonstrate the exact steps he needs to take.

    B). These two methods (used in part “A” ) will help another student make the same type of airplane because if he types it down on word document (step by step), prints it, & gives it to him, then the other student will have each step in order to make the same airplane design as Eric does. He could also write it down on a piece of paper and draw pictures with it, so that the student will know the exact part that he should fold, or the right steps to take and he could see if hes doing it right.

    A) . Eric could Write the steps & he could have someone else do it to test it out for him & if they mess up on a part he can go back & explain it better.

    Eric could make the airplane & each thing he does he can take pictures and write under each one what to do.

    B) . The First method helps Eric try to explain his steps clearly so the other students Understand when he’s trying to say.

    The second method helps the other students see what the airplane is suppose to look like when they follow the steps.

    A) two different methods that eric could use to record how he made his airplane is he could tell how he measured the lenth/height to make it perfect and write it down.another way he could do it is use pictures showing it step by step with the writing under the picture using information that people could understand

    B) each method described in part a would help another student make this airplane because if you write it down in words it would be more clearer and detailed cause as you make it you could just write it down eactly how you did it so it would be perfect.pictures help because it shows you the steps and a clear image while you make it so you could see what you did wrong and the words under the pictures would help cause if you can’t make it by just looking at the picture to see what was next then you can just read it and the showing the pictures with the words would be more easier

    A.) I think a good method is, that when I am explaining to the person how to make the paper airplane. They can get a peace of paper and rite my directions. Or they can get on the I-net and see for there self. So if they did what i said it would fly just like mine when I test them..

    B.) It will help another person because, if the first person rough down on a peace of paper what i told them to. That other person can just look off then first persons paper…… 🙂

    A. Two types of technology to help is a video and to talk about it and record it.

    B. Making a video will show how to make it. According to the story, Eric needs to show how to make it or tell. A video can show and he can tell how to make it. Recording a voice will also work because Eric also needs to tell how to make it. In my experience, I had to be told by a calendar which was made by technology.

    Another method of technology he could use is posting the steps on the internet.

    B.) Each method will help a kid make the same airplane because it has all the steps posted on both. They are both easy to read. And they would both tell and/or show how to make the paper airplane.

    I have no connection to this because, I have never made a paper airplane because I don’t know how to.

    he could look on to a web sight to get imformation on how to make a paper air plain. maby people go onto web sights to get the imformation weather its for computers or phones its a more populer way to get imformation of just about anything.

    you could get it from a song on the radio or iphone or ipod that tells you what to do in a more childish but fun way but if i were him i would save the embarrasment and get it online.

    A. I would use Word. I would use it because it is easy. I would use E-Mail. I would use it because E-Mailing is fun.

    B. I could print it for the word part.I would do that because the other student couldn’t see it if I just use word. I would E-Mail the other student. I’d do that because it’s fun. I also would E-Mail because it’s easy.

    A.) Two methods using that Eric can use to record how he made his paper airplane are Microsoft Word and Microsoft Power Point.

    B.) The two ways I described in part “A” will help explain and show the other student understand the steps of how Eric made his airplane the same way because that Power Point can tell you the steps and show you pictures of what it would like and Microsoft Word would help the student because it keeps the information organized and precise to the point that it is easier to understand.

    A. One meathod i would use is WORD. I would also use EXCEL because because it would more orgnized. WORD can be orginzed but you would have to find pictures and put it into steps.
    B. WORD would help because it dosent have all the lines so people wont be confuzed. It will also help because you can do more stuff on WORD than EXCEL. EXCEL will help because of the lines but EXCEL might confuze people.

(like ‘youtube’).
    B.     A) i think he could use power point and upload pictures of him making them paper air plane to show the students Step by step on how to make it. Another way is he can type up the instructions on paper to tell the how to fold it explain how it should turn out after all and put a picture of the finish plane.

    B) well the first one shows you how to fold it and what it looks like when you fold it and what it should look like after you finish. the second one tells you step by step how to make it and on the end of the paper shows you what it should look like after you finish it.

    ☺Part A) I think that he could get on a website and like get directions on how to make the airplane. Also there may be Video’s on youtube about how to make model airplanes.

    ☺Part B) So like if he goes on a website and stuff to get directions he could just like follow the directions and soon if he does it right he will be able to make the airplane. For the Youtube video’s he could watch the person making the video and maybe they have directions in the description bar. that he can see and he could just watch the video and read the directions and make the airplane!!

    A. Well he could go to youtube and then show the student how. Another way he could do it is by going to the library and try to look at some pictures on how to make airplanes.
    B. The two methods would work because one looking at it on youtube would give him step by step instructions. Plus sometimes it is hard for someone to explain some things sometimes. By going to a library and looking at a book he could get the step by step instructions the student needs. Also at the library there are computers so you can look it up if you dont have a computer at home.

    a) Eric could write down the steps of how he made the airplane step by step. Or he could use pictures to show each step that way instead of just following the directions, who ever is making the paper airplane can see what its supposed to look like while they are making it.

    b) Well for using pictures…the student making the airplane can actually see how its supposed to look and which way to fold and it makes things alot easier. Reading directions helps but it can get confusing because if you mess up you wouldnt know if it came out the right way or not.

    A) He could explain all the little details and he could measure out his steps that he made so that the other student could know the exact thing to do to get the airplane in qulity just like Eric. Or he could draw a picture and put different points of what to do.

    B) Because if they see and know the exact way Eric made his airplane they could get it just right exactly like Eric and if you have someone explain to you and show u how to do the airplane eric made then you will know how to do it jus like eric. If you have a picture show were to fold and were to do this and that then you will know how to do the airplane eric made.

    Two Methods, First he could make a power point and show step by step and put pictures. So he would make as much slides he needed yo show how he made it. The second one is he could make his own video to show step by step.

    The first method i choose would be understandable if he did it correct because it shows you step by step and you can take your time. My second method is much easier because it is a video of him talking about it.

    A.) Eric can tell the class first he folded the two top corner to meet each other. Then I folded the paper long way. also i folded the paper short way then long way again.
    B.) this method will help other students by following theses steps. also by reading these steps not all at once however, one at a time.that is how this method will help you learn how to make paper air planes.

    B-Eric wiring all the steps down on a piece of paper will help some of the kids in his class because they will see step,by step what he did to make his airplane,Him showing all his classmates will help some of the kids in his class because some people are better at seeing thing then catching on then reading then catching on.LOLZ

    A) He could have typed it up on microsoft word by steps and printed it out. Or he could have took a video of him folding the air plane.
    B)When you print it out you can see how to make a airplane going at your own speed step by step. On a video you can see what you need to do and how you need to do it and you can rewind important part.

    B). The method in part A will help another student make the same design because they will know what t do when they read the directions carefully. And if they want to check their self if they did it right all they have to do is look at the picture directions to make sure it looks the same way as the pictures. Like it will show were they fold on the line.

    A.) One of the two different types of methods he could use is, he could record it with a video camera then download in his computer. Another is he could record what he did and write it down in a word document.

    B.) You could use a video camera because they could visualize it. If the student went slower on the camera there could probably be an exact replica. If he used word document of course he would have to be very detailed. If he was plan and simple they probably wouldn’t understand correctly. If he was detailed they could follow it step by step and make it the same. I still would think that a recording of video would be better. It strikes me as not only easier for the person doing it but also, for the person watching it, who has to make it them self.

    A) Eric could have used a program to make a 3-d plane and slowly show step by step how to make the airplane.
    Or he could have typed what he did and then add some pictures of it as well.

    B) The student could make the same thing by following the Step by step instructions.
    If it was typed out, The student could print out the directions and look at them, Then looking at the picture to compare if they look alike to see if he/she is doing it right.
    If he had used the program, the student could have stopped it step by step.

    B. Explain how each method to describe in Part (A) will help another students to do the same type of airplane it is because, to use a robot to make an airplane for you it is a good technology method they can use. But you can build a robot hands is another great method too.

    A: Eric could have drawn the steps he took to make the airplane, or he could have wrote word for word what he did.

    B: How drawing would help his friend is that he could see what folds and other steps he took. If he seen that Eric folded his paper from the bottom to the top, then I’m sure he would know that, that is what he needs to do. And he he knows step by step what he need to do, then he can just follow the direction to get to it.

    Drawing The Lines On The Paper Would Show His Friend How To Make The Same Airplane Because Its So Simple And All He Would Have To Do Is Follow The Lines .     A) Eric could type up an article about how to make a paper airplane and put it in steps from beginning to end. That would also make it much easier. another way he show him how to make the paper airplane is by showing him how to do it on the computer or show him a video on how to do the paper airplane.

    B.) If he types it up in an article it could help the students better understand how he made the paper airplane because then they could just follow the instructions from the beginning to the end on how to make a paper airplane.
    Showing him a video or online could help the student better understand how to make an airplane because they could visualize it and actually see how to make it.

    A. two ways he can use technology to record how to make the paper airplane is by 1. a video of a step by step process. 2. he could make a power point of it and put the directions in typing. that is two ways that he can use technology to record how to make a paper airplane. B. the way my two choices can help other students is. 1. a video can help by going step by step and also a student can rewind and pause when he needs to see it in a certain way. 2. in a power point someone can use it to read the text and stop and work as he pleases.

    A. Two different ways that eric could use techonolgy as a method could be a computer or even a slideshow preview of the steps he took to create his airplane.

    B.The computer method could help the student make the same exact airplane because the steps could be documented and sometimes even sent to that student to make the same airplane.The slide-show method could be used because each step could be placed on a individual slide and be shown step by step to the student.

    A.) I think one method that would be successful to record instructions would be to type a How-To piece using Microsoft Word. Another way to record instructions is to make a How-To presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint.

    B.) If you type a How-To with Microsoft Word, you have written instructions that explain how to make the plane. If you make a presentation with Microsoft PowerPoint, you have One step in each slide, making it more clear. Plus, you can have a picture showing each step in a demonstration.

    A) The first way Erik could show another student how to make paper airplane he can tell the other student a good website that shows how to make the paper airplane. The second way he can show another student is by drawing pictures showing what steps he took.

    B) I think that the two methods would really help the student because if the student goes to a website there could be a video showing the steps or the instructions written down in the website. Going to the website would help the other student also because if Erik can’t really write it down he can give some kind of example to the student. The second method works because by looking at pictures the student can see if he is doing the right steps. Drawing can also help the student because if the student has some kind of problem reading or is not really good at looking up things then he can look at pictures and do the right steps.

    B. If Eric makes a video it can help people because they can actually watch him make the paper air plain and they can watch his video while there making there own paper air plain. Also if he dose step by step directions they can go through and read each direction and figure out how to make the paper air plain.

    A). Two ways that he could record the data is to voice record it to make the steps clearer or he could record it on a video camera.

    B). Method # 1 : It will help the other student by hearing the voice clearly he can get a graphic image in his/her head.
    Method #2 : It will help the student to look over and over how you structure the plane or create the plane.

    2. or you could unfold it and walk a student through on how you made your paper airplane.

    B.) if you use one of these choices above in A. It will help that person because they will know where exactly to fold the paper to complete their own paper airplane.
