Many people are very familiar have used one form of social media or another (Myspace, Facebook, etc…)  However, some people take their love of social media WAY TOO FAR.  Some people (celebrities especially…) put up their EVERY detail online.  Lately, Burglars have used that against them by breaking into their houses because they announced they would be out of town or away from the house online on their page.  Is there some information that shouldn’t be shared?  Where is the line that shouldn’t be crossed with social media?

Yes there is some information that should not be shared. Where they cross the line is saying they’ll be out for a few hours or going out of town.

Yes that’s to much information that is being shared. That’s not rite to share all the information because the things could be stolen your house could be broken in and a lot more of stuff can happen since you told you were going and were your not going to be.

i think that you shouldnt share every thing on facebook or myspace. the reason why is because i dont want other people that i dont know to see what im doing. so why would any body put up their information to the world pretty much. i dont even do that cause i dont put my stuff on myspace only if its like my birthday. so i think people should stop

I think if you are putting stuff online that is personal such as your leaving town, or your away from your home then you should get robbed. I mean there shouldn’t be robbers in the world today cause robbing is just so selfish and stupid in my opinion. But if your really that stupid to post that online then you deserve to be robbed. I really don’t see the point in robbing yeah you get stuff that has been stolen but look at what most likely happens when you rob somebody you go to jail or even worst prison depending on the degree of the robbery. Is robbing really worth going to jail or prison. I have never been to jail or prison, but going there is a type of consequence or punishment and every one knows from personal experiences punishment is not fun.

If you have trustworthy friends you should be able to share info about where you are going to be. But if you are a celebrity you probably shouldn’t share that kind of info. Most times you share too much i think no celebrates should share when there gone. Because they except everyone that sends them a friend request. And some people know where they live and can break in to there house and steal things that are very important.

Of course there is information that shouldn’t be shared. Personal things like addresses, zipcodes, and your every location should not be shared online. That will make it easy for people to rob you or your home. Also, no one needs to know about what you bought from Victoria Secret or what you have planned for you and your spouse that night. Keep it to yourslef. Basically whatever you wouldn’t want your grandma to see, don’t put it on the internet.

I don’t think that people should share things as detailed as their home address, phone number, etc. It is unnecessary for people to put those things because of the danger they are putting themselves in by doing so. I, as a Facebook user, don’t put my life in detail on my profile. It attracts burglars and stalkers, which would put me in much danger. So yes, people need to watch what they put on their internet accounts.
