There has been a tremendous push to get more out of your time watching TV.  One of those things is the streaming set top box.  There are several versions available including some you have heard of and some you haven’t such as Apple TV, Roku, Boxee, Vudu and Western Digital TV.  Many people thought you had to connect a computer to your big screen TV but these small boxes allow you to stream movies and do some internet tasks and hook up to the TV extremely EASY.  Will these boxes catch on?  Would people rather just use their cable on-demand or continue to rent from Blockbuster and Redbox?  Why is this a great idea?  Why would it be a bad idea? Who are these marketed towards? EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWERS!  (Must be at least  5 COMPLETE sentences or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

um i don’t really know if this will catch on or not. i think that people rather do it the way they’ve been doing because it’s easier. but also people could buy that and just get the movies off of there. it’s a good idea but i would rather keep doing what im doing. so i think it wouldn’t catch on because i didnt know about it until now. really i think theres no point in this.

I’d keep an on-demand tv. There is no reason to switch. It will catch on like all other tech in the world. Soon there will not be any thing to improve about tech. I think that’s gonna be when we become cavemen again.

I think redbox will still be popular. The video streaming thing will still be popular too. I just think redbox will stay around too. Redbox is too popular to not be around.

i think that the money will go toward the company that made them and i think that it would be better to keep on demand because its so easy and it saves gas and also it would probably save you the trouble of going to the red box if there was bad roads

I like the idea. I think it’s easier to scroll through the movies and pick one then to go out and rent it. Plus, you don’t have to pay right then and there. I think this will catch on because it already has. Most people I know buy their movies off of demand. Once you watch the movie it will be saved on the saved programs list and you can watch the movie over and over. This could be bad for places like blockbuster though. They could go out of business.

i really don’t think this will catch on. i think because people would rather use their old ways cause they know how to work it and its alot easier. plus people don’t wanna go anywhere so they just rent a movie off on demand. and some people don’t want to go buy the box so they just go to a red box and buy a movie. but personally i think that it wont really catch on.

I think that they might catch on. I mean, why leave the house when it’s right in your house. Plus, it could be in high definition, instead of standard definition. Plus, it could be cheaper than cable On-Demand. I would probably buy one myself.

I THINK IT ALL DEPENDS ON PRICE. RED BOX AND BLOCKBUSTER IS $1 A DAY. IT ALSO DEPENDS ON THE SELECTION OF MOVIE. PEOPLE WANT TO SEE WHAT IS THE NEWEST THING. BUT IF YOU ARE CONSTANTLY WATCHING MOVIES THE BOX IS BETTER. BUT IF YOU WATCH MOVIES ONCE IN A WHILE THEN RED BOX IS YOUR BEST FRIEND.

i mean redbox is easy to use. my mom likes redbox. i mean if theres a new thing comeing along people are gping to want to try it so it would be popular for a while but old toys are just like old people and are neve forgottin so im sure redbox would still be juss as orr even more popuar then the new stuff !

I would rather just use cable. It’s easier and has a lot more channels. It would be less confusing to me. I’m all about simple.

i think these prgrams are eally cool. but i dont think im gonna waste so much of my time watching tv that im gonna buy one of these. i have regular tv and thats good enough for me. if i want to go see a movie then il go to the theatre. but the people making these could rlly make some serious bucks with this. thats all i have to say

I think it might catch on. But there are many doubts about all of that. People might just like it plain and simple and keep their cable and on demand. Others might want something more up to speed with more expansive ways to watch television. But either way, people will buy these new and updated items.

These digital boxes get sold from my opinion. Reason is there are people who would rather upgrade on there cable boxes and their movie streaming. So they would get one of the boxes on the question. Me personally I think it’s an great idea because you wouldn’t have to worry about late fees, losing the DVD’s from the Redbox or Blockbuster Express, and you wouldn’t have to trying to keep the DVD to watch it more. If these were in stores now some would be bought and a lot would be used. I mean you could just download movies without moving or driving anywhere. All you need is an remote and the digital box and you can watch any movie. Old school to New school , any one you want. But this is a great idea. I bet whoever made this is getting millions right now !

I think it can go either way because some people like this kind of technology and other people new technology does not catch there interest. I dont think I would buy this if I had the money because I think that On demand is perfect I wouldn’t need any extra thing that cost more money because On demand has every show that I enjoy watching!

i think its a good idea. all you have to do is hook it up turn it on and down load movies to watch. although i think redbox and blockbuster are cheaper. heck a bunch of people will just buy the box to be lazy. also there is insight’s on demand witch some movies are free.

yeah I think this is a good idea I think it’s easier to scroll through the movies and pick one then to go out and rent it. and then it’s easier. I think this will catch on because people are lazy and want to take shortcuts around everything. Many people I know buy their movies off of demand. Once you watch the movie it will be saved on the saved programs list and you can watch the movie over and over. but this might be bad for block buster i think they will go out of business .
