One of the HUGE issues the past few years has been bullying in the schools. MTV has decided to come up with an app for your iPhone (and other phones, downloadable from iTunes) called “Over The Line”. Teens from all over are invited to confess and share how they have been bullied, harrassed or disrespected and then other teens from all over get to vote on whether it was over the line, under it or right on it and at what point it was crossed. Hopefully, it will cause teens to think about how far is too far. How is this app helpful? Identify some different things a teen might post to their website? Explain how teens who use this app could be helped by it?(You must use 5 COMPLETE SENTENCES or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

This app is helpful because it lets the kids that are being bulled tell other people whats going on. Some teens might put that some one is picking on them because the way they dress or how they look.

Well I think this app will help by letting you know that your not the only one. Also that suicide aint the only way. You can get help you don’t have to kill yourself that doesn’t make anything better it just makes things worse, and you will also think about how someone out there really loves you and cares about you! Even though this app wont help the physical or verbal bullying/abuse it will still make you want to get help instead of killing yourself, and it might give you high confidence on the verbal bullying!

ii think that the new ipod app or the Trevor project would really help prevent bully because it gives the victims the power or courage to fight back or to stand up for themselves. Also it can help victims of bully communicate to see how they deal wit thee situation….

If i found out my friend or family was getting silent bullied oh man there would be a huge problem. So other teens might put on the website that that’s bull no one deserves to be bullied. I think that htis will be good because kids that are being bullied dont show it most of the time but feel it every second. This could help a whole lot because it could decrease some of these comitted suicides every year from teens. The computer will be the same as in person if you make people feel like there nothing it is going to effect them terribly so stop bullying.

i think this app is a great idea because people out there who get bullied get a chance to tell people how they feel it was going on. also, because some people are afraid to tell someone what going on in this is a great website where they don’t have to put there name or no ones name and they still get a solution to the problem they have. i think this website will go great cause the people who get bully could tell others they now who get bully to use this website. and people who like to solve a problems and then they could have the whole story on the website. i think this is good for bullies to because if they are bulling they can see how the people they bully feel and it could change there life. i think i will enjoy it and others so i well spread this information to others so they can try it out.

I don’t think it will make any difference, it might make bullying worse. If you have a kid picking on someone and the kid being picked on uses the app, and the kid doing the bullying sees it, then the bully might get a big head and think he’s really cool and bully more people. That’s why I don’t think it would be a good idea. Bullies don’t need to get anymore ideas about picking on people.

This could help teens decide when it is too serious. Also, when to tell an adult. Sometimes bullying could get mistaken for teasing. This could help teens determine the difference between the two. That is my opinion.
