What is the world coming to?  Yesterday was the Annual holiday for Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Many children have no idea why he was famous except that he said a famous speech.  To me, Dr. King is famous like some other figures in history for his sacrifice.  Many people sacrificed their bodies when they were beaten by police. Many sacrificed their freedom when they were jailed by police. Many sacrificed their dignity when they were spit upon and called names.  Some sacrificed their life.  Dr. King did ALL of the above in order to preach non-violence and human rights.  As a society we have become more violent and still not achieved equality for ALL? Analyze yourself and decide what would YOU sacrifice in order to be heard and make this world a better place?  Would you have done what Dr. King did?  Do you think he would be happy with where America is at today if he were still alive?  Why or why not?

As selfish as it seems I believe everything happens for reason so I wouldn’t do what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did. Really its because I’m not as strong as he was and is. I’m really happy he did this and I think him so much. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have anything like my step mom my stepsisters (there mixed and wouldn’t have been created 😦 but because of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I have them. He has really changed the world and I may not know him but I LOVE HIM for that! I think if he came back and didn’t die he would be upset because there is still til this day racism against people and he would be mad because he got his life taken to stop racism and racism didn’t completely stop its still going on and its really stupid and sad!

I would sacrifice any thing I can to make this world a better place. Not a lot of people new what Dr.King was talking about. He talked how the the people in this world will come together as one. Buy making the world a better place we have to stay together. We have to live the Dream that Dr.King wanted. We have to make this world a better place. Dr.King put life on the line for us now its time to do the same. I would do the same thing Dr.King did. Because the world needs some like Dr.King. We don’t have anyone like that now. People are to scared to put them in Dr.Kings shoes. I think he would be happy an unhappy.Because he would be unhappy cause there is no one trying to stop all the violent that is going one in the world. He would be happy cause Most people are trying to stop all of the violent in this world. So Dr.King will stay in our harts for ever.

ii think if Martin Luther King Jr. was here today he would not be satisfied with how our streets and cities are ran. Us as kids has been provoke by Gang Violence and been introduced to Sexual behavior we can’t seem to understand thee importance of life and the value of it. YES- ii would sacrifice my self to be heard today for a better tomorrow because even those that didn’t make it to today and left young ones or loved ones behind do to Gang Violence or any other negative behavior would of wanted them to introduced to a better view\look at life or even just a better environment.

For the rest of us to live a free and happy life, i definitely would have done what Dr. King did. If he was still alive, he would like how the world is better. There is much more that can be done to make it better though.

Honestly until people know what it was like to go through what Dr.King went through i don’t think anyone can say they would do the same. However i would stand up for what i believe in. Some people are childish and say that it is a waste of a holiday but it isn’t so much of a holiday to me. It is a day to look back and realize that people have actually stood in front of hundreds, thousands of people just to make the world a better place and to unite lives, races, and to me anyone who can do that deserves a day to be remembered. My family is my life. So i could see me doing this for my family but Dr.King is one in a million. He sacrificed his self as a person just to make sure that the country he lived in and would soon be leaving and people he didn’t even know could be safe. He could have kept his opinions to his self and could have stayed quiet. But if he would have i don’t think anyone would be who they are to this day. We would be different people. Life would still be the same maybe just a little smarter but it would have not got better in my eyes. It takes a strong heart and passion in what you believe in to do what he did. So do i think i could do the same …….. I really wouldn’t know until i knew what it was like but i thank Dr.King for his sacrifice and the freedom to unite……..And honestly i dont think he would be saticfied with our world today. children are exposed to drugs sex and things that they shouldnt be. streets are horrible, kids being traded for money and drugs. rape, murders, the rate of them … he would probably be very disapointed.

I don’t think i would do quite that. But there is a lot of things that are still wrong in this world. People still segregate certain people. And there are still certain races like illegal emigrants that are still segregated from a lot people. I don’t think Marten Luther King would be happy bout that. But he would be happy that most of his dream came true.

No, I would not sacrifice anything. I look at today’s society. All these teens running loose and doing things. People are still discriminated today. That explains why my step mama has a job. There are organizations and jobs for people who are still discriminated. I would not sacrifice anything if it has no benefits or impact on anything.
