One of the HUGE issues the past few years has been bullying in the schools.  Teens from all over are being bullied, harrassed or disrespected and very few people stick up for them.  However, teens are not the only ones bullied.  Sometimes adults are bullied as well for a number of different reasons.  Marsha Ambrosius just released her new video dedicated to a friend of hers.  It is a powerful video.  Hopefully, it will cause people to think about how far is too far.

A)  If you analyze this video, what was the overall theme?

B)  If you REFLECT on the video, what hurt worse: the reaction of the lady and kids or the reaction of his homeboys in the park (Not the beating)? Why?

C)  IDENTIFY some different things a person could do to help a person in need like in the video, so it doesn’t end up like the video?

D)  Explain how people could be helped by this video, especially if the people who don’t like this type of stuff will NEVER see this video?

One of the HUGE issues the past few years has been bullying in the schools.  MTV has decided to come up with an app for your iPhone (and other phones, downloadable from iTunes) called “Over The Line”.  Teens from all over are invited to confess and share how they have been bullied, harrassed or disrespected and then other teens from all over get to vote on whether it was over the line, under it or right on it and at what point it was crossed.  Hopefully, it will cause teens to think about how far is too far.  How is this app helpful?  Identify some different things a teen might post to their website?  Explain how teens who use this app could be helped by it?(You must use 5 COMPLETE SENTENCES or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

ORQ Question

It has been proven through a recent study that teens text on average 3, 339 times per month.  This is only between 13 – 17 year olds and their talk time has went down by almost 11 hours per month.

A.)  Identify two different traditional ways of communicating with another person using technology before there were cellphones to text.

B.)  Explain why each method of communication you described in part (A) is no longer as popular to communicate with another person as texting.

C.)  Analyze how ANY new technologies we have talked about in class this year so far, can or will change how much people text each other.  Will it be more or less? Will it become more popular and replace talking on the phone alltogether or will something replace texting as the new best way to communicate?

(You MUST give me fully thought out sentences and use the A.C.T. method-no short answers or text message language.)
