Every year there is a contest held called the Progressive Automotive X prize with a $10 Million Dollar First Prize. The Goal: To have the most innovative and radical design that challenges what we know today while your car can also do 100 MILES PER GALLON. That’s right. 100 miles per gallon. There are 3 classes and this year’s winner for the mainstream class is the Edison 2. Would we the consumer ever consider buying a car like this? Even though we know it gets GREAT gas mileage, what factors would our car HAVE TO HAVE in order for us to purchase this kind of car over another kind of car? Explain your answers.

Yes we would consider buying this car because we could save money. 100 miles per gallon is a lot. Parents and teens today can save money to buy more house work, pay for school, buy clothes, and etc. What we would have to do to get this kind of car is to have to make sure our car will stay in shape like the engine, good tires, and brakes. 🙂 This is a nice car that people would really like.

Well like if you travel or go to a lot of places then yes, but if you only use your car for the basic stuff like to go shopping or go to school or work then no. Well little stuff like the interior , or the inside of the car. There is also the color or the paint job of the car. and how it runs like the engine and the exhaust pipe. You have to make sure that you have all the good stuff or it isn’t worth it and you have to compare the prices, or make sure it is in your budget.

There would have to be good mileage, good engine, easy to fix parts ,fast, and not to small or to big. I probably wouldn’t consider getting one because to is to much of a chance they could brake down or explode or something crazy. But they are pretty neat to watch other people in them.

If i was going to buy a car like this i would need 3 things. One good protection and it’s not like a “smart car” because the smart car is not very good in protection. Number 2 is awesome gas mileage, like the car there talking about in this advertisement. And last i would want to have a little space in the car i don’t want to be couped up in the car.

But i would not like these because you never know that it could have something wrong with it or it easy to have something wrong with it. it going to be expensive too because the gas. Gas is high now days and a lot of people can’t really afford that so what makes you think people are going to buy this. I think that the Edison 2 is a cool car. This could be the car to travel in because it has good gas mileage. But if you wanted a car for simple use, then i think that you should stick to a regular car. If i had to chose from the Edison 2 or a different car, then i don’t know because the Edison 2 looks more for like sports or racing but it’s still a cool car (and what makes it so cool, is that its unusual, you don’t see cars like this everyday). In order for me to purchase this car, it would have to be safe, and maybe change the look a little bit. But i like the fact that it doesn’t really eat of gas alot like other cars. (it goes 100 miles per gallon!)

i think that most of the people would buy this car over another because it has better traveling information. who wouldn’t want to buy this car that can make you save money for gas. i think that for some people it would be the best to buy it because they have a lot of experience on different cars but for other people they need someone that can be with them so they won’t get in any trouble on driving.

Yes, I would buy a car like this. It looks like a petty good car. It holds 100 mpg. It’s also fast, so that’s another plus. It has a good look and is fast. Some people wouldn’t buy it probably. Of course we’ll have people who disagree with us. Some people might think it’s too fast, but that’s their opinion. I like fast cars, however some people might not.

I think that a lot of people would consider this car because of its great mileage, but there are other things that will make us consider it. The Edison 2 is a great car but other than its great gas mileage it would need to be at a decent price. Another thing that I would have to consider how fast it can go because you can never be safe enough with an unfamiliar car. The things that consumers would have to consider about a car like this is the mileage, the price, and how safe it is, and also the consumers budget. I like the car a lot and I think it will help the environment to.

most people look for the body the speed what company it was made from because people like my dad like american made cars not like toyotas or hondas. i consider gas milliage, speed, cost, and if it has an eco freindly structure like the hybrid. gas miledge is eco freindly. the hybrids was 75 mpg. and yes i would surly buy that car.
