B)  If fun make people do things they don’t want to do and do them better, why are schools so resistant to fun?

C) If you remember the other fun theory things, which was your favorite? Piano Stairs, Bottle Bank Arcade, Deep Trash Can, Slide, Elevator, Shopping Cart, or Speed Camera Lottery? Why?

“Most people play video games to escape from reality for awhile and maybe do things they couldn’t do in real life (Madden, Grand Theft Auto).  The next step in video games is to have them evolve into teaching you actual skills.  While trying to make their game different the makers of Rock Band 3 claim they have somehow managed through a PRO game mode to actually teach you how to play the drums, keyboard and guitar.  Is this a good way to learn how to play actual music instruments?   What would critics of this video game have to say about not needing music classes or lessons because you could learn from a video game?  Or could you REALLY learn how to become a great player from a video game?  Why or why not?” (You MUST write 5 sentences or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

“Nike has been at the forefront of integrating technology with their gear for years.  Nike recently gave the task out to 78 artists to “hack” a pair of Nike’s for something truly extraordinary.  Nick Marsh did just that and hacked all of the internal circuits from a Wii Fit Board and put them inside a pair of Nikes.  Is this a cool concept that people could get into to change their gaming? Thoughts? Comments?” (You MUST write 5 sentences or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

A study has been done that says 1 in EVERY 5 Americans has played at least one game (like Mafia Wars or Cafe World) online in a social network such as Facebook and Myspace.  Why do you think these games has become so popular in the last three years?  What factors determine whether you will play games on these sites EVEN if you’re not a gamer? (AND THIS HAS NOTHING to do with X-Box 360 or Playstation3 or Wii) Why or why not?

Redbox has turned out to be a major hit in renting movies.  So much so, that it has changed the way Netflix does business and nearly caused BlockBuster to go bankrupt.  To add to their dominance, Redbox will begin renting video games this month.  They will have PS3, X-Box 360 and Wii games available for $2 per day.  Is this a good plan?  What could be some drawbacks (bad reasons) and good reasons to rent video games through Redbox? Compare the two.
