What is fashion coming to?  In the Flagship store of Macy’s in New York city, the store is using a 72 inch (6 foot) “Magic Mirror” that takes pictures of you and then “virtually” tries on the clothes that you like so that you can see how you look in everything without actually having to try anything on.  The mirror is so futuristic that you can share your looks in the clothes on FaceBook to see if your friends like it.  Is this the future of retail?  Explain how teens or anyone who uses this device could be helped or hurt by it?  Would this be something you would be interested in using? Why or why not?

Toshiba showed off 2 brand new 3D LCD TV’s on October 4th, 2010.  They featured a 12 inch and 20 inch TV that could watch TV in 3D but YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO WEAR THE GLASSES.  The TV’s retail for $1400 (12 inch) and $2900 (20 inch).  The public has claimed that they are ready for 3D TV at home, but just don’t like the glasses.  Will these TV’s make more people want to buy a 3D TV now?  What are some of the drawbacks (bad reasons) that people would still not want 3D TV at home? EXPLAIN your answers. (You must use at least 5 COMPLETE SENTENCES or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

Even though no one ever talks about it, the government has been pushing the boundaries of technology for years.  If anyone is close to or already has the things we see in movies, it’s the government.  The government is now experimenting with making, FLYING TRANSFORMER humvees!  That’s right. You read that right.  Is this a good idea?  What could the applications of this be?  Are there not any better things to study?  Would you ever want one of these? Why or why not.
